WAY BETTER... Manuals added; still needs more IN-DEPTH tutorials
Well, since my first review (and 3-star rating), the programmers at Virtual have updated with COMPLETE manuals... Thank you so much! They are very well-written, and sure seem to cover every facet of the game.
However, as Id love to give this a 5-star rating, I believe the ONLY (found-and still lacking--see previous review) flaw to this game is the lack of more in-depth TUTORIALS. While it is certainly possible to "figure it out" using the relatively short, basic tutorials already provided with the game, I believe this games HUGE POTENTIAL can really be harnessed if new players can get up to speed more easily. Ive been a gamer on-and-off for nearly 30 years, and appreciate a game that begins with the assumption that ANY (new or experienced) player ought to be able to enjoy gameplay within a few hours after first opening the application. (see John Hammers excellent comments)
I must emphasize: this concept is FANTASTIC. The folks at Virtual are SO close to having developed an amazing, history-based, truly challenging game & interface.
