Go with the Steam Version

This is pretty buggy and overall pretty horrible. I am unable to change the video settings at all. Also, if you’re into changing/editing gamefiles, you can’t with this version as it’s read only.

Go get the steam version. If you waite for a sale you could pick it up for $2-3. Works perfectly and also can be modded if that’s what you like. Only downside is that the “Heir to the Throne” and “Divine Wind” expansions aren’t available there (which is fine, they don’t add that much value anyways).
